Camp Lo Live @Neumos 1/18/13

All the way from the deep EastCoast these rappers brought the smooth rap songs like “Luchini” and “Coolie High” to the walls of Neumo’s which is a great venue for always having a good seat in the house. upper deck to view the show or easy to get up front on the floor. My friend Graves33 was opening for these guys and everyone did a great performance that night.

Sir Mix A Lot Live @Neumos 12/3/18

I have seen this Seattle OG many of times but felt this was the one to blog about. Neumos is a great location in the middle of Capital hill Seattle easy to get to with a good view all around inside. It’s connected to a local bar many go to before shows start and this specific event was a clothing drive a friend told me about. I like to call these sneaky squirrel shows no one knows about. He did all the classics in here and what’s cool about Sir Mix A Lot shows you get the brief shout outs to specific Seattle facts as well his own twist on the songs he has been doing for decades. He was up there for hours which he even mentioned most new artists walk off soon as the bell rings and they are paid. However Sir Mix A Lot felt Seattle deserves all his time. Great artist to check out as most of his songs are classics we all know like posse’s on Broadway which you can’t help but think about that song when you cruise past that Dick’s drive-in.

Graves33 Live @Neumos 1/18/13

Coming straight out of West Seattle, WA. This is a talented musician and talented artist that has both a rep in the music industry and spreading his art throughout the city. He is the son of legendary Randy Hansen who has toured the globe performing Jimi Hendrix covers. Graves33 has done art murals for the city as well as covered almost every Electrical box you see on corners of West Seattle streets that pay tribute to other Seattle music artists. He has performed at many Seattle venues over the past decade and opened for groups like Wu-Tang Clan and Camp-Lo. The venue Neumos is a cool spot with a popular bar located right next to it and has a passage way to walk to near the venue entrance. Desmond Hansen who is desmondhansenart on Instagram and stage name Graves33 in his music, has a powerful message in his lyrics about not being a puppet for the government. His stage performance is unique as he raps and DJ’s at the same time which not many performers achieve. Graves33 is a man of many talents and artistry so check out both his art and music anywhere online or his IG page. The city of WS is still waiting for him to record a song dedicated to his home town and thus put West Seattle on the map so stay tuned. In the meantime check out his music videos on Youtube, such as; “Waiting for never”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esmrEALAapU as well as many other great tracks to look for so check him out.

G Perico Live @Neumos 12/15/18

This is the hardest rapper out there. You think different? You go tell him yourself. We haven’t seen an era of Gangsta rap like this since Eazy-E, Celly-Cel, Tupac, Brotha Lynch all rolled into one. Sporting a Jeri curl and some royal blue chucks, it’s obvious what he is representing. The lyrics tell his story and Perico claims the streets of CA can back up his truths. New to the rap game due to lack of options since his release, G Perico is the one to look for if you want that 90’s feel with new updated tracks in your car. This was probably the best rap concert i’ve seen so far. When he goes acapella with tracks you already know, proving he isn’t lip syncing shit nor needing any background noise to prove his point. Keeps the crowd engaged and crip walks in skinny jeans, this is the dude. He says;

” Bitch, I’m a player, gangster, pimp, mac, had a forty squeezed on me and I lived through that
Don’t come around here askin’ no questions
‘Cause I’mma assume that yo’ ass is a detective” .

~G Perico

Bryce Vine Live @Neumo’s 3/9/19

First off, Neumos is a great Seattle venue/ location in a lively area and the venue, though smaller is very wide open with multiple vantage points. Also one nice thing is if you get there really early you can get prime seating for free on the upper deck railing area. So the first time I heard of Bryce Vine was on a motorcycle stunt video edit. Basically he was just background music for a wheelie. Anyway, I looked him up and he is this New York artist who has an attire-style straight out of the late 80’s or early 90’s. His music however is like a mix of many genres with super catchy lyrics that have valuable messages of life, relationships and things he is passionate about. If you see him live he has tons of energy and interaction with the crowd. Quick little shout outs to the crowd then you see him jumping everywhere as the next track kicks off. You will enjoy seeing this guy and I am fortunate I was able to see him live at a small venue in Seattle before he blows up.
