Kid Rock Live @Puyallup Fairgrounds 9/3/16

Awesome show and great entrance he made. Kid Rock is all about putting on a show and taking his shirt off for the ladies. Everything went down as expected + some and I was appreciative to get the invite to this show as well as the seats we had. That being said this isn’t a terrible venue but more of a summer time place and winter shows you could get rained on while the performer happily is dry on stage. Kid Rock has always been a baad muthafucker to me glad I could see him live because I know I can smell a pig from a mile a way too. Check him out if he is ever touring your city and you might find him at a strip club while he is in town. Muthafuckin Cowwwboyy ….Bayyyyy-be!

TLC Live @Xfinity Arena 7/7/17

The ladies who brought the red light special and educated us not to ever chase water falls of pipe dreams and douche bags before you millennials called them “fuck boys”. These girls still got it and almost tear jerking tribute to Left Eye at the end of the show. For a large arena this place isn’t bad for a show. I had the VIP upper deck and front row with a meet and greet so I was feeling extra. Only problem was I was mostly there to see Naughty by Nature open for them and when they took everyone backstage for the pictures I missed Naughty by Nature and I was HEATED. I even told T-Boz & Chili how upset I was. So when they did red light special I have video of Chili motioning me to the stage which I refused to move due to being so mad that I didn’t see the East Coast rappers I had anticipated. Some other dude jumps over the gate and gets broken off to red light special in place of me by Chili herself. *Does hand jerk motion* as it was about principle for me and who in the hell was managing the meet & greet during the show like that? We put a man on the damn moon, he flew there. We can’t plan a better meet n greet for high paying fans? Either way TLC is great live check em out.

Lil Eazy E Live @Downey CA 9/7/12

From the godfather of Gangsta rap is his first son Lil Eric Wright. I flew into town for this one which was an Eazy-E tribute show accompanied by OG’s; BG Knocc out, Dresta, DJ Yella, Lil Eazy E, Kid Frost and many others that rolled with Eazy during his time on this earth. The venue was very small like a shoe box and the location a stones throw from Compton, CA. The first acts were good and no stage at all in here just a corner area with a microphone and a small makeshift bar in back. Eazy-E’s Mother made a surprise appearance and I was lucky to get a picture with her throwing up the Eastside Compton. Lil Eazy-E was nothing but smiles in there taking pictures with his other brothers who are also artists. Splitting image from his Dad, sounded like, looked like and walked like him. Just a bit more swoll mode. I can’t even describe to you the energy when Lil Eazy performed “Real muthafuckin G’s” in there. I thought the place was going to catch on fire and blow away from the intense lyrics calling out all the studio gangstas -you know the names. BG Knocc out now as a grown adult did his part in that song and added the over hand right to the most infamous diss track ever recorded. If you are out there Dr. Dre & Ice Cube. You better bring back something for the hood!! A bucket list show for me to see.

Caela Bailey Live @Triple Door 3/12/18

What a cool show in an awesome venue. Caela is coming straight out of West Seattle, WA and is a genre not quite defined yet. She is a mix of deep R&B, with a rock mix yet classical touch and a bunch of other splendors not quite put into a box yet. This venue is like a huge auditorium with only seating areas ascending down to the stage. Above this venue are two nice restaurants located in the heart of Downtown Seattle. Caela is semi new to be known about but not new to music industry by any means. She comes from a family of musicians (Both Mother and Father) and has been singing all her life until she decided later in her travels to let the world know her talents. Very powerful strong voice and something you could listen to in your car our blasted loud throughout your home or anywhere that has a speaker. This show was cool also because in between songs she talked about her life leading up till where she is now and the events that really had impact on her. Great artist and look for her music video called “Belltown Crawl” which can be found on youtube.

Do or Die Live @Lady Luck 2/23/18

One of my favorite rap groups of all time and seen here is AK of Do or Die at this extra hood venue/bar located in the outskirts of the city. I only knew of this show happening because a friend had told me about it. One of their original members passed away some years ago and the other had gone through a murder conviction also years ago which makes AK a bit more accessible to see live. My favorite part about this show was how no one seemed to know they were going to perform here and as the crowd loitered around the bar in between openers all of a sudden you hear “Do you wanna riiiiiiide?!” and the whole place went lively. AK sounded good and no stage or anything in here so it made the experience right up close and personal. After the show I told AK I just had seen Twista at another venue and hoped they do a show together soon. AK’s immediate vibe was warm and thanked us for seeing him. I would watch this again just hopefully at a better location in Seattle and whoever marketed this show should be fired.

Dru Down Live @Sam’s Tavern 2/25/18

The Pimp Playa of the year himself live in Kent, WA. This venue was small but adequate to house a lot of people. No stage just a small 6 inch high platform for Dru Down to have a slightly elevated place on. He walked in sporting a motorcycle biker club colors which appeared to be a club out of California. He walked in with a bunch of his biker buddies onto stage who kept an eye out for him -not dancing or showing an reaction to any of his songs as seen pictured. He did all the classics we wanted and though a dive bar the sound quality was on point and Dru Down sounded just like he would blasting through any speaker but there was no lip syncing. My only regret, wish I wouldn’t have drank my way past the meet n greet I paid for.

Ras Kass Live @Columbia City Theater 4/17/18

One of my favorite venues and with the historical style building and a 2 level area so the stage is set down a bit to give folks in back a good view. You walk into Columbia City Theater thru a bar in the first hallway to the left then the stage is in very back. As for Ras Kass, this guy is an OG of the mid to late 90’s but wasn’t mainstream. He is not gangsta rap but rather lyrical fire power. His lyrics are the kind to have deep meaning and how he sees the rap industry as well as tracks like “Interview with the Vampire” that he raps about an evil force giving influence to humans. This show was very small and what I liked about Ras Kass was he rocked it like it was a sold out show and never once seemed lazy in his performance due to the lack of audience. The marketing person for this show should be fired.

Russ Live @Marymoor Park 7/9/17

I stumbled across Russ looking at Youtube video of another artist which lead to a music suggestion of Russ. I ended up searching for tour dates and went to this one. First off, this venue is great, almost a Seattle center vibe with the risen grass vantage points leading downwards towards the stage. The entire area was general admission but some shows they do seating just not this one. There are food trucks in the very back making it feel real music festival like. Russ had no openers and came on to do all of his popular stuff. He sounded good live and even though I discovered lots of great artists who opened for someone else I can appreciate that he didn’t have anyone open for him and just did his thing.

Macklemore Live @Puyallup Fairgrounds 9/21/18

Coming from North Seattle, WA this guy exploded into the scene with a catchy song like “Thrift Shop” and always letting his inner weird out. Mack is a popular dude and his music would be considered rap but not tracks you wanna go do gangsta shit too, rather songs you go hit the city and go feel good too. The venue on the fair grounds is wide open but good sound quality. Mack put on a great show with random stage props and jokes that kept you waiting for what would happen next in between songs. He gave his shout-outs to Seattle and how much love he has for the town. I felt this was an artist I had to see at least once since he was rep’n Seattle, WA and clearly a talented person.

Hellraiser Judgement Movie (2018)

Cast: Paul T. Taylor, Alexandra Harris,
Grace Montie, Randy Wayne,
Gary J. Tunnicliffe, Damon Carney

I have been a fan of all of these movies but this one deserved a review. Imagine if no matter what we do or did we have to pass thru Hell to receive judgment for our sins with a partial jury that wishes suffering upon you. Not only that, what if there is a serial killer on the loose that wishes unimaginable pain on those who do wrong. Then when the forces of good and evil go after that said killer to decide his or hers fate who claims the prize? This film challenges what we think we know and even more terrifying is that what if Hell wants to break the rules ? Hell soldiers don’t care about being punished or eternal suffering by heavens gate keepers as they welcome pain and suffering in hell. Push your limits and check this one out.
