I had stumbled across this artist looking at something else on youtube and then patiently waited for his show in Redmond, WA. Nahko the bear is a mixed race Native American, Puerto Rican and Filipino which is notable because I like seeing fellow Native Americans doing music. He has a strong voice with some rock backgrounds that jump in without warning. Great voice and some folk/rock with more of a twist than even that. Great stage presence and I would for sure check out any of his shows again. He usually tours as Nahko and Medicine for the People. They are semi new-ish so look for them and enjoy the sounds.
