Al Green Live @House of Blues 8/20/05

I was 21yrs old and this was my very first trip to Las Vegas. I went down there with a Girlfriend and stayed at Mandalay Bay Hotel. The house of Blues in Vegas was and still is a popular place for live music. At the time cell phones weren’t what they are now to take pics and when I paid for this picture at the entrance the folks selling it said if I buy $100 in merchandise I get backstage passes to meet Al Green. I thought for sure they got me for $100 but sure enough, right before the show started they pulled us backstage where Al Green & Floyd Mayweather Sr were there. We took pictures and they were suppose to be emailed to me but never received them which is kinda sad. To this day I always watch for his shows hoping to get one more chance for a photo with the legend. Al Green is the real deal Classic R&b King and probably the sound track to many babies being made through the 70’s into the present time of now. Even if you never put his name to the music I can 100% be certain you are familiar with his music. The song “Let’s Stay Together” has been playing for decades at every venue you can think of. Mr Green which now Reverend Al Green is amazing live, sending rich music right into the airwaves. In his later years he never lost his touch. Seen here is a picture he signed with myself and my then Girlfriends name on it (you can see who ended up with the picture though, ha) Which reads “still in love” and though that may not be the case anymore I still hold this moment dear to me, frozen in time to my memories.
